Isabel is an actor, writer, and theater maker based in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Born in London, Isabel grew up mostly in Northern California with stints in Buenos Aires and Minneapolis (twice) before heading East for college. She majored in Theater Studies at Yale University and continued her acting training at the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia, American Conservatory Theatre, and Shakespeare & Company.
In over a decade of acting, Isabel has performed with Clowns Without Border in South Africa, written and acted in sketch comedy, toured elementary schools across Northern California, dabbled in stand up, starred in a horror film available on Amazon Prime, and featured on a panel at the San Diego Comic Con. Favorite Bay Area credits include Desdemona in Othello (African American Shakespeare Company), Caroline in the World Premiere of Wild Boy (Dragon Productions Theatre Company), and playing God with the sketch comedy troupe Running With Glitter.
After working at a startup in San Francisco for a few years to support her acting career, Isabel noticed the need for more business expertise in the theater field. So in 2017, she moved to the United Kingdom to pursue a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Cambridge with a concentration in Culture, Arts, & Media giving her the opportunity to work at Carnegie Hall in New York and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She is currently the Communications Manager at Cal Shakes.
In her free time, Isabel loves to blog about theatre, travel, and feminism.
